I was so impressed that everyone made it to work on this day, albeit at least an hour late. While this was the norm in Goa, though, it's a rarity here so far. The key is not to get in a rickshaw, because you just get wetter! I was glad to finally have an opportunity to wear the Ithaca-caliber boots that I lugged all the way over here for just such an occasion. But everybody else in the world continued to wear sandals.
